Twitter Chat

I just participated in my first twitter chat. This chat was for 4th grade teachers and first year teachers. (#4thchat) When I first started the chat I felt overwhelmed with all the tweets that were coming in. I was trying to read all the tweets and answer the question that was asked. I started to get the hang of it once the chat started moving along. I no longer felt overwhelmed. There were a lot of people sharing great ideas and resources. I thought the chat was awesome. I would definitely do it again. I think excellent questions were asked during the chat and the participants were wonderful! I am now following some participants from the chat. I am glad we were required to participate in a twitter chat for this course. I think this a great way for educators to stay current and express their ideas with fellow educators.

  1. I was going to join that chat but I think I was a little too late. I am glad to hear everything went well for you. I have never participated in a twitter chat so I am nervous about getting started. Did you use twitterchat to log on?

  2. I now know what you mean about it initially being overwhelming. The posts were coming in so fast it was hard for me to keep up. However, another participant told me if I was using TweetChat (I was) that you could pause it. Awesome!!!

  3. The edchat is very overwhelming! I couldn't believe all the people on the chats, it was crazy! It did take some time getting use to, but I eventually felt like I could handle it! I'm glad this was on of our assignments as well, otherwise I probably wouldn't even know these took place. Now we have so many resources available to us!
